Gather Now for Diocesan Convention

Please help us! We depend on your donations of clothing and sundries for the annual drive at Diocesan Convention. The 165th Diocesan Convention takes place at the Marriott Madison West Hotel and Conference Center in Middleton (just outside Madison) on October 12 and 13, 2012. St. James will have a display there and can receive your donated items then.

Red Door Clothes

We need men’s blue jeans, clean, slightly worn, or new. These are for Red Door Clothes, a joint ministry of St. James in Milwaukee and Trinity in Wauwatosa.  The jeans will be available to the homeless through the clothing store at St. James.

Sundries at The Gathering

We also need sundries, including shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, toothpaste and toothbrushes. The samples from hotel stays are very welcome; we also accept other sizes of these sundries. We collect the sundries for the Sundries at The Gathering and Sundries on the Avenue programs at St. James church. They are distributed to the homeless at The Gathering as well as through Central City food pantry. Please bring your sundries to the Diocesan Convention for collection.
